TDF QA team announced the availability of LibreOffice 6.3 Beta1 for immediate testing.
This is the first beta release of the upcoming 6.3 release which is scheduled in Mid August 2019.
“Since LibreOffice 6.3 Alpha1, 683 commits have been submitted to the code repository and 141 bugs have been set to FIXED in Bugzilla.” – said the blog post.

LibreOffice is becoming more popular these days considering the download counts and of course liscensing fee of the popular commercial office suites.
You can use LibreOffice in Windows, MacOS and Linux for free and it comes with Word processor (Writer), Presentation program (Impress), Spreadsheet program (Calc), Drawing program (Draw) and Math. This complete office suite is the best available today.
LibreOffice 6.3 coming up with more than 50+ feature updates and hundreds of bug fixes if not less. Therefore it would be one of the most important release of this popular cross platform free and open source office suite.
Most Notable Feature Coming up in LibreOffice 6.3 – Redaction
Among hundreds of features and updates to LibreOffice 6.3, I feel the ‘Redaction’ feature is the most notable.
Redaction is a process by which you can censor any part of the document (via black, grey) and distribute to intended audience before final copy. This feature is so useful for publishing market also in enterprise companies.
Now you can do this using LibreOffice Writer or any modules (Impress etc) via Tool menu once 6.3 is launched. The redaction process will prepare the document and open it in Draw where you can mark the places which you want to hide, censor via rectangle or free form shapes and export it as a PDF.
